Matt Williams is a former professional fighter and Coach, competing in Muay Thai in both Australia and Thailand, Mixed Martial Arts, Kenpo 5.0 Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). In 2023 Matt received his BJJ brown belt from Professor Ross Dallow 555.
Matt has been trained by, and coached alongside UFC talent Callan Potter, as well as UFC coaches Jamie Murray and the Australian Muay Thai household name, Andrew ‘ Hollywood’ Colgrave.
You can also catch Matt (Willy) commentating some of the biggest combat sports promotions in the world, offering technical analysis and some punchy one-liners on shows such as Rebellion Muay Thai, 1774, RWS, and Eternal MMA on UFC Fight pass!

A BJJ Blackbelt under Professor Ross Dallow 555, with 25yrs+ of sweat poured into his craft. He runs our NoGi submission grappling program, sharing his skills as a former pro MMA fighter and FURY MMA featherweight champion with multiple submission victories inside the cage, and a blackbelt gained in the 10th planet specialist NoGi submission system. He has a mad itch for just sharing knowledge & helping all levels of people eager to grow themselves thru building resilience with martial arts on the happy place we fighting folk all call "on the mat". Lani ‘Bones’ Williams
Muay Thai instructor
Incredibly, Lani started late in Muay Thai and Kickboxing, joining as a Mum, business director and Jeweller. Since stepping over the ropes, Lani’s achievements can be defined in the principles enunciated in the foundation of Bones MMA, persevering to defy the odds and become a Kickboxing champion in her mid 30’s.
Lani became the WMC asian champion in Thailand in 2023.
Jesse ‘Monte Carlo’ Arnott

A force of nature. Jesse is both the last person you want deep on a single leg, and the first person you want to meet when you come in for a trial class.
Jesse was incredibly successful on the competition circuit for BJJ, and now is making inroads into the professional MMA scene. He facilitates both our Grappling and wrestling classes, as well as taking private 1-on-1 sessions.
Luke Smith

As a life long Martial Artist, Luke has an expansive knowledge base of many striking arts; first attaining a second degree black belt in Taekwondo before spending the next 15+ years training in Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, & MMA gyms around Australia and overseas.
Luke is a philosophy major and currently working towards a Master of Teaching; both of which compliment his love of coaching and can be noticed in the teaching of the theoretical and practical elements of Martial Arts—the ‘how’ and the ‘why’.
Jordan Wallace

Jordan is a BJJ black belt under James Sargison. An experienced MMA professional, with a lifetime spent in the martial arts, Jordan has a unique conceptual approach to teaching, making his classes very popular!
Jon Ho

A Veteran of many professional Muay Thai fights, Jon has developed a tricky, fun femur style that is both beautiful to watch and great to learn from.
Jon runs our beginners and intermediate Muay Thai classes, and is a brilliant trainer of our Muay Thai fight team.

Junior Muay Thai instructor
Scarlett is a black belt in being kind, an excellent martial artist, and the epitome of the leader of the village that ‘it takes to raise a child’.
She run’s our junior muay thai classes with assertiveness, compassion, and skill.
James Ashworth

James is a professional fighter, having been involved in Muay Thai for a long time, beginning his journey in WA before transitioning to Bones Torquay in 2020.
The big friendly giant defies all preconceptions of what it is to be a heavyweight fighter - his intelligent, technical, Muay Thai style is reflected in his coaching and serves as a wonderful resource for our students.

Dave was recently acknowledged as one of the most exciting up and coming fighters on the domestic circuit, due largely to the huge energy he brings to a stadium.
This is a unique ability Dave affords to his kids and teens classes, sustaining a wonderful environment for young people to be
engaged in.
Lily Kilbourne
MANAGER
She may be the first smiling face you see when you enter the building, but don’t let her catch you with shoes on the mats!
Lily is the brains behind the operation and makes sure all our knuckle heads are supported to run top notch classes, and the members are looked after with genuine care. When she’s not at the helm in the front office, she’s running our strength and conditioning classes - a “Jill of all trades”!
Keri and Gym Baby
Keri is the amazing Coach of our Women’s BJJ program!
She has been training in BJJ, Muay Thai and MMA for 7 years, recently under the watchful eye of Gym Baby.
Gym Baby is the Manager of milk, all things below knee level, and being a good boy.
Willynoi
Willynoi is an experienced amateur Muay Thai fighter, exceptional human, and an assistant Coach of our Junior Muay Thai classes.
He helps Dad to reign ‘em in when they spread out too far, as well as demonstrating his beautiful technique to example lessons in class.
